Learning piano by playing piano

Taught to Diana by Prof. Violeta H. De Gainza

A world-renowned music teacher, Violeta H. De Gainza believed that the deepest and fastest way to learn piano is to play piano, in the same way that learning to use a computer happens by using the computer.

Introducing piano theory and technique too early drains life out of the real experience of playing. With a focus on creativity and comprehension the fingers play, the ears listen and the mind understands without fear.

The global method incorporates all aspects of music — rhythm, melody, harmony and form, along with musical execution. This teaching-learning-all-at-once makes it easy to acquire playing skills and structural understanding at the same time.
